The short version

Practice Time does not collect anything. No account, no sign-up, no analytics,

no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. Nothing your child says

or does in this app is sent to us or to anyone else.

All of it lives in the app's own storage on that one device. Uninstalling the

app deletes all of it.

The microphone

The app asks for the microphone so your child can say her answers out loud —

counting, naming shapes and colours, repeating words. That is the point of the

app: it is how a grown-up can tell whether she really said it or just tapped a

picture.

• The recording only runs while she is answering a question.
• Recordings are saved on the device so a grown-up can listen back.
• Recordings are never uploaded, never sent to us, and never shared.
• You can delete them at any time: Grown-ups → Erase all → recordings.
• If you never grant microphone access, the app still works — she answers by

tapping, dragging and drawing instead.

Speech recognition

The app uses the speech recognition built into your device's operating system to

make a rough guess at what she said. On some devices (including iPhone and iPad)

that guess may be processed by Apple; it is governed by Apple's own privacy

policy, and it is a feature of the operating system, not of this app. The app

sends nothing to any server of its own.

The app treats that guess as unreliable on purpose. The recording is the

evidence; a grown-up marks it right or wrong.

Children

This app is made for young children and is designed to be used with a grown-up.

It collects no personal information, shows no advertising, has no in-app

purchases, has no chat or social features, and contains no links that let a

child contact anyone. There is nothing in it that can be shared outward.

YouTube

The app can be set to unlock a YouTube reward after a set amount of practice.

If a grown-up turns that on and your child earns it, tapping the button leaves

Practice Time and opens YouTube (the app or the website), which is operated

by Google under its own terms and privacy policy. The reward is off in the

version published on the app stores.

Analytics and advertising

None. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising identifier

and no attribution framework in this app.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at the same

address and the "last updated" date above will change.
